Short Biography
Johannes Schmidt (* 1979 in Hamburg, Germany) study of electronic Composition at ICEM of Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, Germany since october 2004. Before he became a student of Prof. Neuhaus at the ICEM, he graduated a three-year training as programmer and later was involved in different software-projects. During Folkwang-Study he investigated in composition for contemporary music and electro-acoustic music, as well for video-animation and sound-software. Special interests in live-electronic music and interaction of movements, video and music. Deep cooperation with Moving-Borders- Director Jaciel Neri and Choreographer Leandro Kees. Since 2008 collaboration with Kerim Karaoglu as the laptop duo 'tryek'.
